BAY-SAT/POLARSAT TEAM COMPLETES PRELIMINARY NETWORK ACCEPTANCE TESTING OF THE FULL MESH MF-TDMA VSATPlus®3 GHANA AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL NETWORK

Ron Mankarious, Vice President of Sales and Marketing said, “PolarSat is very pleased to be involved with this project with both BAY-SAT and GCAA because of their extensive experience and excellent track record in this market. The selection of VSATPlus®3 as the primary network communications shows how well the VSATPlus®3 hubless full mesh architecture fits the demanding ATC requirements. Migrating to an IP network allows the support of the older ATC equipment while providing a native IP backbone for new applications and equipment. Combined with VSATPlus®3 bandwidth savings features of Bandwidth on Demand, Compression, and its latest optional feature - Mesh Adaptive Coding and Modulation (Mesh- ACM Trademark) - provides some of the industry’s lowest recurring costs. VSATPlus®3 is becoming the technology of choice for ATC applications as proven by the number of project wins in this critical market segment.

“The Civil Aviation Authority of Ghana is happy with the excellent collaboration with the BAY-SAT/PolarSat team that has led to a successful project implementation.”, said Mr Charles Kraikue, GCAA’s Director of Engineering .
